[Wactclc-alma] Quick way to concatenate a column of barcodes to use in Analytics filter

In addition to Excel, you can do an analogous trick in Word.

Copy the column of barcode numbers from Excel, and paste into Word as 'text only'.

Then do a replace all, and replace ^p with ;

That will replace paragraph marks with semicolon.

Then you can copy and paste the resulting delimited barcodes into analytics as a filter.

There is a better way further down the page link for those who have Office 365.
A new(?)  function called TEXTJOIN

Paula,

Regarding this:

"We can no longer create a table of barcodes to query against."

Are you referring to something that you could previously do in analytics, but no longer?

Or are you talking about something you used to do in Voyager?

I just googled something that may be old news to some of you but I'm going to share just in case.

We can no longer create a table of barcodes to query against. The workaround is to create a file of barcode numbers separated by semicolons and have it all in one field so it can be copied and pasted into a filter.

To this: 38230004724976;38230005049001;38230005068795;38230005088272;38230005088280;38230005088298;38230005115760;38230005115778;

I found an answer here: https://trumpexcel.com/concatenate-excel-ranges/

(Instead of a space between the quotes, put a semicolon.)
