[Wactclc-alma] Another crowdsourcing question: Update/Notify Users

You need a set of users to use the update/notify users job.

Easiest way would be to identify the users via analytics, and then use that report to create a managed set of users (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Training/What's_New_Videos_2018/08_May_2018_Release/Create_a_Set_in_Alma_from_an_Alma_Analytics_Report )

Lesley, for example, I created an analytics report in Pierce environment called 'users with active art checkouts', and then used that analytics report to create a managed set called 'wade'. (There are only a handful of users.)

You can use that set to send out a notice via update/notify users.

The only 'gotcha' I ran into was that I had to customize the column heading for 'Primary Identifier' to 'USERNAME', before Alma would create the set from the analytics report.

Has anyone used the Update/Notify Users job for the purposes of notifying? I was playing around with it to try to send an email to patrons who had art work checked out. In the end, I just emailed them from my Outlook account.

I'm curious if anyone has a success case to share!
