[Wactclc-alma] blocks not sticking

Hi Wade:

I'm pretty sure she's not doing marking them as external at the same time as adding the block, because these are patrons who were already External. They were student records that came in with the nightly patron load.

Elena,

You can check to make sure that at Whidbey they are *not* marking the blocks they add as EXTERNAL.

If they tic the 'add as external' box, then the patron loads will overwrite the block.

So, we have encountered a bizarre thing with placing patron blocks. We have been placing patron blocks without any problems since we went live with Alma. Now, suddenly this quarter, I have a staff member at our Whidbey campus who is placing blocks and they mysteriously disappear the next day. Our staff member here at Mount Vernon places blocks and they do stay.

The blocks seem to disappear overnight, so we were wondering if it could be something to do with the patron load. Has anyone else experienced this lately? It happened once on Tuesday and again yesterday (she discovered this today). I'm at a loss. I've double-checked and the staff person seems to be doing all the steps correctly for placing blocks. Plus, she's done them before without a problem.

Thanks in advance for any clues that might help us solve this mystery.

Elena
