I should have elaborated.

I checked our rules when I saw George’s email go out.  The problem hadn’t happened on our end but usually if it’s going on in other places I like to double check (be proactive ☺).  Ours were all set to true when I went in to look and then I ran some testing to be sure that I was looking at the right thing (since as you mentioned, the knowledge article didn’t really match).

So, Yes?, I think the true setting would have been and are the original settings.

Sorry – one more thing!

Tria, you went ahead and moved all the rules to TRUE. Is that the way Alma was functioning previously? I edited the Patron physical item request and Work order request rules, but I was unsure on the Move and Restore rules.

I guess I want to make sure I’m not going to add clutter to circ’s picklist that wasn’t there previously.

Hi Lesley –

I had the same question when I followed up on George’s email.

In each of those Rules (e.g. Patron Digitization Request) there is a parameter called “show in ‘Pick From Shelf’ list.  I went in and made sure all of ours were set to true, then tested, I think it’s all working fine now…. (although when testing I had to be sure I was on the campus where the item actually lived or else I don’t see the request of course).

However in the linked article, Ex Libris references the 'physical item request expiration in open days' rule. I don’t see that here:

George, the setting referenced in this article was in fact set to ‘false’ in the Edmonds environment.

I went ahead and flipped it over to true.

After placing a request on an item under my account, that request does now appear in the task list:
