Hi George,

I’m going to ask the obvious but did you log out of and then back into Alma?  I know whenever I make any changes in the configuration side of Alma, in order to be sure it took effect and is working the way I want it to, I log out and then back into Alma.

Hi all,



One of our satellite libraries asked to have the ability to place and fulfill holds.  So, at the fulfillment unit level, I changed the “On Shelf Request Policy” from “No Requesting” to “Request for pickup anywhere regardless of availability.”

I also made sure that their circulation desks could “Pick from shelf” and that they had a hold shelf.

 But in testing, I haven’t been able to successfully place a hold on items in our STEM lab.  I just get an error message stating:

 I have combed through all the tables in the fulfillment and user configuration menus and cannot find a setting that controls the ability to request items.  Has anyone else run into a similar problem?
