Actually, a better way (for Amy, Elena, and anyone else going through collection analysis for accreditation or any other reason):

In the E-Inventory subject area, do the analysis below. Be sure to filter no. of portfolio to only include counts greater than 0).

Then, in Excel,  remove the 'no. of portfolio' column, and do a Pivot Table (go to Insert / Recommended Pivot tables), and the recommended one should be what you want, to get to this:

(This is Olympic's data.)

These numbers agree with what you get in Alma if you do an electronic titles search, and look at the resulting search results count (which is a count of the title records):

Try this:

Titles subject area, active titles, material type = book, and add Library cod (electronic), so only electronic titles are counted.

The accuracy will depend on material type being accurate in the bib records, and I would expect that to be pretty accurate.

(As with all analytics reports, the results are only as accurate as the data.)

In Analytics, I am trying to determine the number of ebooks and electronic journal titles we have access to (subscribe or purchase, paid or free).  I created what I initially thought was a very useful report:

Then I realized that the "No. of Portfolios in Repository" listed for each Collection probably has a lot of duplication.

For example, I know that Ebsco's Computer Source generally doesn't have unique content that is not already available in our Academic Search Premier and Business Source Premier databases. So the 207 portfolios listed on my report for Computer Source are probably not unique titles.  Is there a parameter I can use in my analysis to limit to only completely unique portfolios? I have searched the catalog but can only find the word "unique" in reports related to patrons, loans, missing items.
