Those of you with Credo might also want to open tickets with Credo, to let them know that you are not getting article level link resolution in Primo.

Unless Credo provides good enough metadata and support for article-level linking, it's not going to be an issue that ExL can resolve independently.

So, pressure on both vendors is helpful.

Sorry, please disregard my last message.



I don't think the info at the Credo link below is affecting Olympic or Renton.



The issue, as Amy originally described and Laura confirmed, is article-level Credo links (as provided by PCI citations) leading to book level resources in Credo, rather than article level.



My guess is that it's going require Ex Libris to update metadata in the PCI to resolve the issue.



I'll open a consortium ticket for this issue, and add Amy and Laura as cc's on the ticket.



If anyone else is using Credo and would like a cc on the ticket, let me know.

Actually, looks like there is an issue with Credo and ezproxy proxy by port, as described here:

The issue is affecting customers using proxy by port.



Amy, Olympic is currently using proxy by port, so your EZProxy administrator may need to contact Credo support to work out the issue:



NOTE: As of 2/23/18, we are triaging an issue that affects proxy by port users, where the proxy is not persisting through to the Credo database from wifi/guest access and remotely. If you're seeing this issue, please contact support at credoreference.com<mailto:support at credoreference.com>.



Laura, Renton is using proxy by hostname in ezproxy. Using Renton Primo, I can navigate successfully to Credo's 'Cambridge Dictionary of Philosphy', using permalink:

Based on the attached thread in Alma-L, I reversed the order of the URLs in your service parameter overrides.



So, I simply changed the parser override to:



url=https://search.credoreference.com & url2=https://credoreference.com



(The 2nd URL may not even be necessary.)



Test now in your Primo, with the articles you've been using to test, and see if you get better results.



If so, post back your results, and Laura could make the same change in her Credo service.

Hi Laura.  For now I've just reactivated a Case I created in 2014 for this same issue (not going to article level), which Tier 2 support closed in 2017 with no comment/explanation.

Unfortunately while the linking works in Primo again now using the parser override, it's only taking me to title level in Credo Reference, not article level like it did before (even up just a week or two ago).  This is typical with our reference databases, but Credo was different.  It took Ex Libris a while to get Credo to go to article level, on their end, when we first went to Primo through ORCA a few years ago but it eventually did.



Should I open a case?

It's not quite the same because one is http and one is https.



I went ahead and overrode the parser parameters for the service as a test, and now my links in Primo are working.  I guess the other way to approach this is to add another line in the Credo stanza in the EZproxy config file.

The service level in Alma looks correct to me, and is the same as in ezproxy.



You can isolate Primo by going to the resource directly through your library web site.



Did they restart ezproxy after making the change to config.txt? That might be the issue.

Is anyone else getting an error message related to ezproxy when trying to access Credo Reference articles in Primo?  I had I.T. update our Credo stanza in the EZproxy config file.  It didn't help.  I am now noticing that the URL mentioned in the error message, which is the same URL that is listed in the "service" level record for Credo in Alma, is NOT a URL that is listed on the official EZproxy stanza from OCLC.  Could this be the issue?  If so, can I do an override of the URL at the service level, and will it "stick?"
