[Wactclc-alma] Unsupressing an item to show in the public catalog

Nina is correct.  You have to go into the Metadata Editor to suppress and unsuppress bib and holdings records manually.  (If you have a bunch of records, you can Run A Job on them as a set.)

Millennium doesn't use holdings records at all and item records can be suppressed individually.

In all of the Ex Libris systems, unfortunately (IMNSHO), item records can't be suppressed.  In Alma and Voyager, you can only suppress holdings records and bib records. This means that in a situation where you have multiple items attached to a holdings record, you either have to leave all the attached items unsuppressed, or you have to create a special suppressed holdings record and move the item you want suppressed over onto the suppressed holding.

That path is a bit hidden. Is this what you're looking for? In the Metadata Editor, under the pull-down for Tools, Set Management Tags > Suppress from Discovery. It's the same path for holdings or for the bib record. (As with Voyager, I don't know of any way to suppress at the item level. I'd be interested if anyone does!)

Hi,

We received back a lost book that suppressed when we migrated over from Millennium.

How do you unsuppress the item in Alma?  I've looked through the help and I can't seem to find anything about it and I've typed in several different phrases.
