One more question... How are they receiving the new item?

Are they using "receive" under Acquisitions? And when they do, do they have "currently at:" set at the target / intended library?


I'm trying to understand why the slip is being generated. Maybe it's expected. I'm not sure.

In any case, I implemented a fix that I think will prevent the slip from printing, by editing the XML on that particular notice not to print when reason is "Move temporarily".

So, let me know if that works.

According to our circ staff, they just showed up in the mv.library email inbox. They did not show up in the pic from shelf list in Alma.

So, Elena, this slip is generated when you "Print Slips" from "Pick Up from Shelf" ?

These are for new items.  Here's an example barcode: 30025001683623

Here's a screen shot of the temporary move request slip:

I'm guessing that it's not possible to keep these new items from generating these slips, but it would be nice.

Are these new items, for which a request slip is generated after you receive the item?

If there are any items currently in this state, could you post the barcodes?

We're noticing that for items that we order, a resource request slip is generated to change the location of the item?  I've tried searching in help and can't see if there's any way to suspend the generation of those slips at each step. Right now, our staff are ignoring them, but I'd like to avoid having those notices created at all. Has anyone figured that out?
