And a nice easy solution that I'll be making use of too!

Certainly much easier than what I was coming up with-- figuring out a way to use the "Map holdings fields into Bib record" table to get the 866 into the bib record during an export job, and then using the "Export Tab Delimited" function in MARCEdit to get the data from the file of exported MARC records into an Excel spreadsheet.  :D

The 866$a subfield is indexed in Analytics, in Physical Items>Holding Details>Summary Holdings

I've used the Summary Holdings is not null filter to find serial records lacking holdings statements, as a proof of concept.

Hi everyone,

I've dug around in the Alma-L archives and it seems it's not possible to search on, or include, the 866 in Analytics.

We've discovered that we have 866 fields in some holdings records for DVDs and other materials that have only one item/barcode attached. The inclusion of the 866 field seems to signal to Alma that the item is a textual holding with multiple pieces. This becomes a problem when we try to do a Patron Physical Item Request in Alma.  The Alma Request Form adds a "Manual Description" field which eventually breaks the hold.

I'd like to isolate a list of holdings that include the 866 field, but have only one item attached.

Is there any way to do this in the Repository Search? Or some workaround in Analytics?
