[Wactclc-alma] Recalcitrant holdings record won't go away.

In the normal(!) course of business I ran across a record with 2 identical holdings records. I successfully transferred the item record to the holding I wanted to keep.

When I try to delete the empty holdings record I get a message " Holding 229977650002803 cannot be deleted as it has items loans".
No it does not. The item record I transferred was on loan but there was no problem moving it to the other holding.

Are there situations in ALMA where we have to wait until the next day to complete a task? When will this holding record know it is empty?
