[Wactclc-alma] Fines / Fees Notification Profile - Follow-up to this morning's C1 / C2 call

Just a follow-up to this morning's call.

Pierce College was right about a new Fines / Fees feature in Alma, allowing you to suppress some Fine/Fee Notices, based on whether the patron is expired and so on.

We were just looking at the wrong set of release notes. We were looking in July, and it actually came out in June.

The feature was actually announced in the June Release Notes (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/0099_2017/June_2017/Alma_June_2017_Release_Notes ):


  *   New Options for Fines/Fees Notification Profiles<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/0099_2017/June_2017/Alma_June_2017_Release_Notes/04Fulfillment_-_June_2017_Enhancements#New_Options_for_Fines.2FFees_Notification_Profiles> - The fines/fees notification profile now has options to suppress a message being sent to a patron if the patron has an active loan or if the patron is expired.

Under "User Management Configuration > Fines / Fees Notification Profiles", you can set fines / fees notices to be sent out, or suppressed, based on the age or amount of the fine, whether the patron is currently active, whether the patrons has loans, etc.

These profiles control what notices are generated by the Fines / Fees Notification job.

So, good news for Pierce, Edmonds, and others that want to suppress some of those fines/fees notices.
