Lesley,

You can safely remove the past calendar events, as long as their removal doesn't impact any potential overdue fines for active transactions.

That is, if you charge overdue fines, overdue fines can potentially be different if you remove closed days while the transaction is still active.

So, in practical terms, any past calendar events over 6 months old should be safe to delete or edit with an updated date or date range. (That is, unless you have some freakishly long checkout periods.)

I would suggest updating your 'end of year' date right before closing on 6/16, or right at the beginning of the next work day (6/17, or whatever date it might be).

Hi everyone,

I hope your spring quarters are off to a good start! We only had one hiccup where I learned (via Wade) that you have to update your End of Term Due Date policy every quarter. Who knew? :)

I wanted to ask some questions around calendaring. We're nearing the end of our first school year with Alma. We have our patrons set to expire, and an "End of Year" Event in our calendar.

What are the steps for preparing for summer and fall quarter? Should I delete all of our 2016 events and exceptions, and just add those for 2017?

Beyond fiscal rollover, is there anything system wide that will be affected by our End of Year calendar event, or will Alma just keep on chugging?
