Oops – I forgot one! We are also working on cleaning up our item policies. We did a bunch of planning for this during implementation, but were told that it was something to do after Go Live. We want our item policy to actually reflect how the item circulates rather than what it is.

My notes are below. The biggest issue for Pierce College has been that the patron load job from the State Board doesn’t work for us. We’re still figuring that out.

Hello all,

I wanted to share some of the post Go-Live clean-up issues we have been working on a Edmonds.  I would also like to encourage others in Cohort 1 to share any additional clean-up issues you are working on.

1)  From an advanced repository search do a physical titles search where the "process type" is set to "Technical Migration".  Any items in this category need attention.

Many of these are long lost items for us. We’d like to delete them all.

2)  Even though we worked on cleaning up our enumeration and chronology fields, much of the data from the Voyager records went into the wrong fields in Alma.  This becomes evident when you search for a periodical title in Primo and then try to sort by year.  We are slowly moving the enumeration and chronology to the correct fields in Alma so that the data can be properly sorted in Primo.

3)  All of our CD's and DVD's that are included in books came through with a material type of "Book" rather than CD or DVD.  We are also changing these back to the correct materials type.

Our DVDs had “Other”, we’re working on that now.

4) All of our reserves needed to be re-processed and correctly linked to instructors.

We did a lot of reserves clean-up this summer.
