Hi all,

This is the first I’ve heard that Internet Explorer is not supported. I wanted to pass on the message.

Dear Lesley Caldwell,

A new comment was received for case #00237295:

Case Title: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

Last comment:
Hi Lesley,

We attempted to recreate this issue in a test environment and were unable to produce this error. The examples shown both appear to be showing Internet Explorer as the browser. IE is not a supported browser and can lead to java errors on a regular basis. Do any of your staff see this issue on Chrome or Firefox. We strongly encourage using Chrome or Firefox for all activity in Alma.

Thanks,
Ben

Status: Waiting for Process

Priority: Normal

Description:
Here is an issue we are only seeing at Puyallup. However, it is occurring on all PY circulation terminals with all logins.

When we discharge items with pieces we get the attached java error. We have been able to get around the issue by checking in another item w/o pieces.

IT has checked Java on these computers.

I googled the error and found this, https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Knowledge_Articles/Why_can't_standalone_portfolios_be_added_by_set_to_a_local_electronic_collection%3F, but this is not an electronic collection. It's items with multiple pieces.

Any ideas?
