<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">As Howard shared, BTC is a member of Whatcom Libraries Collaborate. We have a public library self-checkout station in our space, and we accept pickup deliveries and returns from
any Whatcom county library. We make some BTC resources available to community members. Our temporary location is very small, so we are limited in what we can offer. We will loan regular materials from the temporary location shelves, and we will sign community
users on to library computers for limited periods of time if not needed for student use (we have gone from 54 computers to 8 , so there isn’t much capacity to serve community folks in that regard).

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">We are looking at our community borrower’s policies and procedures. I’m asking for input on your feelings about your responsibility to provide services to the community – beyond your college. We charge
a minimal amount (it was $5 and went up to $10 a quarter last week) to get a card. There are, of course, limitations on what they can check out, only use databases on campus. We just limited their time in the library to two hours a day. We’ve had a particular
patron who is a bit problematic who was coming in when we opened and begrudgedly leaving at closing.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
