<p class="MsoNormal">YES, PLEASE! We went to a fully online bookstore last year. It is run by B&N but the impression I’m getting is that there is a LOT of work still being done at the campus level. The push has been to move to online textbooks, which are
directly connected to the class through Canvas. It is called Day 1 Access. Good when it works, but the first week or so eLearning staff spend a LOT of time helping students as best we can, despite it not being a Canvas problem. Our VP of Business has been
doing the actual work but there have been discussions of trying to move that work to the library minus any additional staff because “we aren’t making any money on it.” My push back is that I don’t have staff sitting around with nothing to do so what are we
not supposed to do so we can pick up this work!<o:p></o:p></p>

so are libraries!" </span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI Emoji",sans-serif;color:black">😅</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif;color:black">). For the first six months I was quite literally running it myself,
which was exhausting, but we now have a fulltime virtual bookstore manager. While those first six months were rough, it has been an absolute godsend when it comes to collection development, textbook cost reduction programming, and OER development. It gives
us direct access to useful data and has allowed us to engage in proactive collection development that has significantly increased faculty awareness and appreciation of the library as an instructional collaborator and resource. I'd ne happy to talk about this

<p class="xmsonormal">Our colleges are in the stages of renegotiating our bookstore contract and shopping around for vendors. It has been proposed by some that the Library could be the keeper and distributer of textbooks and textbook sales. Understandably,
that is not sitting well with many of our Librarians. <o:p></o:p></p>
