<p class="MsoNormal">At our LLC meeting earlier in the month, we discussed this item:
<i>IPEDS has announced “the planned elimination of the <a href="https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/survey-components/1">
<span style="color:windowtext">Academic Libraries (AL) survey</span></a> beginning in the 2025-26 administration”. The<a href="https://www.regulations.gov/document/ED-2024-SCC-0040-0001/comment"><span style="color:windowtext"> public comment period</span></a>
is currently open until May 3, 2024.<o:p></o:p></i></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Other than the conversation at LLC, I haven’t seen or heard anything else. I am curious if anyone else has additional information or understanding.

<p class="MsoNormal">I was surprised that ACRL doesn’t have any information on their Academic Trends pages:

<p class="MsoNormal">One of my librarians did some digging and all she could find was this reddit posting:

report, having access to data trends from across the spectrum of colleges is useful, it would be an oversight to remove libraries, and this just seems to be confusing and difficult to find information. Here is a link to those comments:
