We have had a lot of requests for either us checking out particular devices to particular students, or that we set up an Alma dashboard for other departments to check out their own stuff. Some depts are funding purchases for laptops for us to check out to their students, we are getting some grant supported $ toward laptop replacements, and looking at reallocating funds previous used to purchase PCs. Interestingly, we are checking out more laptops
NOW than we did during COVID. I’m guessing it is because the school districts all supplied they with Chromebooks when they were in school the last few years.

We do basic updating and imaging. Repairs are done by our IT department but many are covered under warranties and we just send them to Dell.</b><br>

<p class="MsoNormal">1. Besides the computer lab in the library (about 150 desktops), there is one open lab in another building, and I'm told they get three students max a day. We have been getting 15 tops. <u></u><u></u></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">2. Our library continues to provide Chromebooks and a few hotspots to students. They were paid for by CARES act funding, and now IT has been funding some from another budget. English Language Acquisition just received grant funding for
65 more for refugees. (I don't remember where the grant came for, but I can ask if you want to know). IT is clear that they can no longer fund new Chromebooks. When a Chromebook is returned, IT folks clean off the profile and the fingerprints and determine
if they need any further upkeep. We do not have a replacement plan, but we are exploring requesting funding from the student technology fees. <u></u><u></u></p>
