</span><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; color:rgb(0,0,0)">FY 2022 Open Textbook Pilot Program grant</span><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; color:rgb(0,0,0)"> from the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary
Education (</span><a href="http://www.ed.gov/FIPSE/" data-auth="NotApplicable" style=""><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; color:rgb(17,85,204); text-decoration:underline">FIPSE</span></a><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; color:rgb(0,0,0)">),
U.S. Department of Education. The project received a supplemental grant of </span>

addition to the 700k received last year, </span><span style="font-weight:700; font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; color:rgb(0,0,0)">bringing the total grant amount to $1.8M.</span></p>

the project has been authoring three open textbooks: Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Health Care, and Intro to Welding. With this supplemental funding, SBCTC will be developing
</span><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; color:#000000; font-weight:700">four additional open textbooks in the field of professional technical education. </span></p>

collectively author these new open textbooks. </span></p>

am also happy to inform you that </span><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; color:#000000; font-weight:700">Sally Zeiger Hanson</span><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; color:#000000; font-weight:400">, who
partnered with me in writing the original proposal, has agreed to continue to serve as a consultant for the project. As the Project Director of this program, I am thrilled to continue to team up with both.</span></p>
