<p class="x_MsoNormal">And while I’m not super familiar with position levels, from my perspective, I would say 4 is a minimum, and 5 would be better. Especially given inflation and the tight labor market.</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">From my perspective, for any library planning to continue physical services like general circulation, reserves, and equipment loan outs for the long term, having a strong and engaged circulation manager is important.</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">The complement to that role, and similarly important, would the acquisitions / eresources manager position.</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">And having these strong and established roles is especially so for libraries that aren’t carrying a true systems librarian on staff, which includes a lot of the institutions.</p>
