</span><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; color:rgb(0,0,0); font-weight:700">2021 Open Textbook Pilot Program grant</span><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; color:rgb(0,0,0); font-weight:400"> from
the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education, (<a href="http://www.ed.gov/FIPSE/" title="www.ed.gov/FIPSE/">FIPSE</a>), U.S. Department of Education. Based on collaborative work with college faculty, Workforce Education professionals, and Center
of Excellence Directors, this project is designed to develop a set of open textbooks for three of the most in-demand professional technical programs: Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Health Care, and Intro to Welding. </span></p>

<span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; color:rgb(0,0,0); font-weight:700">SBCTC will announce a call for faculty participation in the first week of October.
</span><span style="font-size:12pt; font-family:Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; color:rgb(0,0,0); font-weight:400">We will be looking for faculty members with deep knowledge in their field and experience developing curricular materials to join the faculty cohorts
which will collectively author these new open textbooks.</span></p>
