<p class="MsoNormal">Yes, WLA is very active with library advocacy statewide and I know that they’d love to see more activity from those of us in academic libraries, especially now with the ACRL-WA move to WLA.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">For us in LLC to try to create our own mentoring process would be daunting. We don’t have the capacity to build that structure AND participate in it, so this way we could be mentors and focus on building that relationship, not creating
the structure at the same time. And our librarians (or us) could apply to be mentored and benefit in the same way. I think we should encourage our librarians to get in the mix, also. I even participated in a worldwide mentorship program at one point and had
a public librarian in South Africa who was really helpful to me in my early years as a librarian. So a cross academia-public library mentorship might be interesting also. Think about it! Gerie<o:p></o:p></p>
