 whose membership consists of all CTC libraries in the state of WA, is considering pursuing an IMLS National Leadership in Libraries grant to support the creation and/or support of institutional repositories at WA CTC libraries.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Institutional repositories are commonly found in and administered by academic libraries and can be used to curate and make discoverable faculty and student scholarship, student-created learning
 objects and projects, student publications, art, music, and OER, to list a few examples. The scope of institutional repositories is far-ranging and the impact reaches beyond curation and discoverability to creating a connection between student-produced work
 and the sharing or publication of that work with the greater community. Institutional repositories amplify student voice in a time when community colleges place that student voice at the center of their main initiatives, such as OER, open pedagogy, capstone
 projects, and guided pathways.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The preliminary proposal for the IMLS grant is due September 27, 2019. If that proposal is accepted, the full proposal is due in March of 2020. Accepted projects would begin around the beginning
