<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D">I’m a little confused about initiating a separate, additional conference when CLAWS had trouble with mounting their own conference before. I had hoped that CLAWS would initiate programs within
WLA’s conference to draw more librarians to the bigger conference where cross-pollination between academic, school, and public librarians could occur. ACRL-WA is an optional venue where community college programs could be offered. One more conference to
pay for in addition to Cascadia, Canvas, ATL, ELUNA, WLA, and ACRL (not to mention national conferences) seems like a challenge for small staffs and small budgets. Spring is always busy and seems too short. Others may feel differently, but this is my two
cents.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
