<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">We use the Wa. State Dept. of Personnel job class descriptions. Is this a classified staff position? Library Specialist is an old term before the classifications were updated about 6 to 8 years ago. I don’t
have a copy of the cross-walk, but your HR Dept. will. What we use now is Library & Archives Professional or Paraprofessional depending on the level of work. Here is the link to the WA State Dept. of Personnel:

<p class="MsoNormal">I am hoping y’all can help me out with something. I feel like one of my staff is perhaps under-classified and would like to approach our Human Resources folks about it, but I am having trouble finding a list or explanation of other library
professional classifications. She is not a Librarian (no MLIS) and currently is a Specialist, but I am wondering if there are varying levels of Specialist like there is for Technicians. Where might I find this list of hierarchy and job descriptions?<o:p></o:p></p>
