<p class="MsoNormal">I could use a little guidance here from fellow directors. The Renton Technical College library is going to do an initial weed of the collection this summer as we have identified a large number of books for potential removal. In my past
 library, we boxed everything up and sent it to surplus but apparently that is not what DES wants us to do here and suggests we recycle them. However hardcover books can’t be taken by our recycle company so they tell us to throw them in the garbage. None of
 these options seem great and I even know there are RCWs to help guide us:<o:p></o:p></p>

 if they ask to buy these.  We have to wait at least 30 days after we publish/give this notice, to dispose of these items.
