<p>At Highline we don't have fines, we just have fees for lost items. We haven't decided on the specifics, but we will probably forgive the majority of old fees as part of our pre-migration cleanup of the patron database.</p>

then we sometimes forgive the fine if the equipment is no longer used in any courses (and the department of ownership has no interest in collecting it).</span></p>
