[LIBRARYDIR] community borrowers

Green River's community borrowers pay $5 for a Community Member ID card to check out books, DVDs, etc.  We have research computers set aside that community members can use to access databases. Those computers don't have printing or access to other programs (such as Word).

The library also has an open computer lab entirely funded by the Technology Fee. Community members are allowed to pay the quarterly tech fee ($60) to have computer access as well as the same number of "free" print points as students. We have it set up so that they pay through continuing education, are set up in ctcLink, and thus can be assigned computer logins. We have a handful of community members who take advantage of this.

LWTech offers in-library use access to collection items, including some technology (like headphones). We used to have more community borrowing options, but when we moved to Alma we nixed them—mostly because we haven’t had any requests in years (and that was years ago when we moved to Alma).

WWCC's policy is the same as Big Bend's.  Just in case it was also on your mind, we don't do ILL requests for community patrons.
