Unfortunately, we have always been put in the very uncomfortable and offensive position of having to ask Hispanic students to choose white. I believe there is movement at the federal level to improve the race categories they use. WABERS and LACES must match
the federal requirements.</div>

<div>How are you advising students who identify as Latino/Hispanic to answer this question on the LACES intake form when there is no option to choose Latino/Hispanic? Please see the screenshot below. My understanding is that a box in the "race category" MUST
be checked in order to ensure "exceptional data quality."</div>
