<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span class="contentpasted2"><i><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black;background:white">Dr. Luz Garza joined Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington in February 2023. Prior to joining CBC, she was the Dean
of General Education at Arizona College of Nursing in Las Vegas. Born and raised in Sunnyside, Washington, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington State University and her Master of Arts degree in Applied Psychology from Eastern Washington
University. After spending </span></i></span><i><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">seven years as an elementary school counselor and Counseling President in the Sunnyside School district she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. While teaching part-time as
an adjunct professor, running a tutoring business, and teaching Zumba fitness classes there<span class="contentpasted2">, she earned her Ph.D. in Health Psychology in an online program from Northcentral University. </span></span></i><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
