Subject: [DEOC] Critical Disability Studies Fellowship

Hello DEOC Fam,
I hope you all are doing well in the start of spring! I was lucky to be connected to a great individual here in Bellingham working out of Western Washington doing a Critical Disability Studies Fellowship, thought I would share incase anyone is or knows someone who would be interested.

The Institute for Critical Disability Studies at Western Washington University is seeking applicants for our 2024 Fellowship Program. Click here for full details about the program.<https://wp.wwu.edu/disabilitycollaborative/fellows/>

This is a 10-month fellowship program, beginning in May 2024 and going to February 2025. Fellows receive $3,000 stipend. Fellows will develop projects to benefit local disability communities, including building community programs, engaging in scholarship, and designing community resources. Visit our website to read about past fellows and their projects.

Every year, we select a cohort of three to five individuals who work in the area of disability culture, advocacy, and access issues. We welcome people from any background, including artists, community organizers, academics, teachers, business owners, non-profit workers, and more. You do not need any affiliation with Western Washington University to apply. We especially encourage disabled, queer, and/or BIPOC individuals to consider applying.

To apply for the program, fill out a brief application by April 1st, 2024. Follow-up interviews will take place in April, and the cohort will begin meeting in May.

Best,
하나(Hannah)
