[DEOC] SOCC

Good Morning Family,

As you all may recall we've had several conversations about our role in supporting MSSDC & Students of Color Conference. We discussed several means of support and had not officially come to a conclusion as to what that support would look like.

We currently have a request from them in the amount of $5,000 to secure a speaker for this years conference. That speaker is Linda Sasour. Most of you are aware of her advocacy and brilliance and have seen her at NCORE or FSOCC last year.

I fully support this request and urge you to do the same. Please respond to this email as soon as you can so that we can support Students of Color & MSSDC in making this conference memorable for students.
