I also support the financial support for the SOCC speaker. Could each college add $208 to our annual DEOC dues and than make the payment directly from our foundation account at LWTECH?

Hola Maribel!

I’ll put the word out about the call for proposals here and happy to contribute to bring the speaker. If I were host institution, I would just pay for it… do you know if GR has been approached about just sponsoring the speaker??

Hello Sis!

I also support funding SOCC. This is a minimal ask.

Buenos Dias DEOC,
I’m forwarding the call for workshop proposals for the upcoming Students of Color Conference. Please share with others on your campus. The committee does not have enough workshop proposals for the conference as of now.
I also want to remind us about the ask to sponsor Linda Sarsour for a keynote at SOCC. MSSDC asked for $5000. If each of the 24 offices of DEOC members, we would each contribute $208.00.
MSSDC is asking for a response of the request I sent back in November.

I would like to propose that we say yes. I think the process would be for our treasurer to invoice each of us $210.00 and then a check can be made out to MSSDC (they have their own outside account) to help bring Linda to SOCC.

Thanks for your consideration,
Maribel
