It's a new year and there's much to look forward to... like the amazing workshops happening at the 5th annual NWREC! One of those amazing workshops will be presented by Michelle Strange, Director of Restorative Practices for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) at Bellevue College. In this interactive workshop participants will explore how principles of restorative practice foster trust, healing, and accountability, while learning practical ways to build community and repair harms within organizations, classrooms, and teams.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Cooper Sealy and Julius Rodriguez, from North Seattle College, will be joining us and presenting a workshop titled "Trauma & Healing: Strength-Based Approaches in Education." This intermediate workshop will introduce participants to the concepts of trauma, trauma-informed practice, and strengths-based education through DEI lenses.
