Hi Roderick,

I wanted to inquire if you happen to know of any individuals or organizations that specialize in conducting workshops tailored to addressing the needs and challenges specific to African American community college students. We believe that such a workshop could greatly benefit our Student Affairs staff by enhancing their cultural competence and equipping them with practical strategies to better support African American students.

The workshop would take place on August 9th from 9 am - 11:30 am online or preferably at Tacoma Community College. We envision it as an interactive session that explores best practices, practical strategies, and engages participants in meaningful discussions about supporting African American students within a higher education setting. The ideal presenter would have a strong background in education, particularly at a Community College, with expertise in addressing the unique experiences, perspectives, and educational requirements of African American students.

If you are aware of any individuals or organizations that could fulfill these criteria or have any recommendations, we would greatly appreciate your assistance. Please feel free to forward this email to anyone who may be able to provide valuable input or connect us with the right resources.
