[SOCC Poster Joyful Reunion]

Talofa Lava (Greetings) MSSDC Community/Advisors,

The 34th Annual Students of Color Conference – Joyful Reunion: celebrating ourselves, transforming our communities is excited to return this spring! This year’s conference will be held at Green River College in Auburn, WA (main campus) from Thursday, April 18th – Saturday, April 20th, 2024.

We are sending this email out as a save-the-date along with information to prepare for travel expenses (fees), registration process and workshop proposals!

REGISTRATION

With the move to a campus-model venue, our capacity is limited. For this reason, each institution may bring 12 students and 1 advisor. Please fill out this form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScmzLORY1OE18bdvbEeeVP6lyWzsf6ybDLHl1WeQHw6EPodWQ/viewform> to confirm your interest in bringing students to SOCC if you haven’t yet. If you are interested in having additional students or advisors attend, please e-mail Leilani Salu lsalu at greenriver.edu<mailto:lsalu at greenriver.edu> and we will send an update in February about available spaces.

FEES

  *   Students - $225
  *   Advisors - $250

SOCC Registration will officially open on Tuesday, January 29th, 2024 - both electronic payments (p-card) and voucher options are accepted! We are utilizing the Whova website to coordinate all payment and registration, stay tuned for more info!

More important details about Online College Registration- PLEASE READ

  *   Only the MSSDC Representative or the Main SOCC Advisor for your college (branch campus included), should submit the Online College Registration form.  Multiple programs, branches, or departments interested in attending the conference MUST coordinate with the MSSDC Representative and or main advisor to submit ONE registration form per college.
  *   The number of students and advisors you submit for your College Registration will NOT be changeable and you will be charged for the number of attendees shown in your invoice.
  *   If you are NOT the MSSDC Rep or the Main SOCC Advisor please email me the updated contact information. ALL communication will be sent ONLY to the MSSDC Rep or Main SOCC Advisor.

HOTEL LIST/ACCOMMODATIONS - COMING SOON!

We will send out an official list of hotels and accommodations in January, please stay tuned for more information!

WORKSHOP PROPOSALS - OPEN NOW!
