[DEOC] Monthly professional development series to replace the New VP Orientation series

Dear DEOC--


The VP orientation format has been revamped and instead of a series of half-day sessions quarterly, the format has moved to a monthly professional development series. This series is open to ALL Vice Presidents (and those new to commission roles since not all DEOC members hold a VP role), catering to both newcomers and seasoned leaders in roles of Student Services (WSSSC), Instruction (IC), Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEOC), and the Research & Policy (RPC) commissions. Vice Presidents of Admin Services or other areas of the colleges are welcome to this professional development series. The goal is to ensure that the identified topics are applicable across all areas, fostering a collaborative learning environment for our system leaders.



Topics identified for the upcoming year are intended to be universally relevant to your roles and broad participation is welcome. These recorded sessions will be co-hosted by SBCTC staff and include subject matter leaders from various parts of the system. Monthly calendar holds will be shared shortly, so please watch for those.

  *   When: 3rd Thursday mornings, 8:00-9:30 am
  *   Who: Open to all VPSS, VPI, VPDEI (and directors), VPRPC
