[DEOC] Campus Climate + Language Access

Here is what I got!

Hanover's survey was administered via the Qualtrics survey tool, which includes diagnostic screenings to check survey accessibility and integration with screen-readers, as well as offering language translation to match that of a user's browser language settings. While I don't know the specific settings that Hanover chose when setting up the survey tool, I do remember a conversation with them about ensuring screen readers could successfully navigate the survey.

>From what I can see online about the Qualtrics tool is that there is the ability for survey makers to select languages that the survey can be translated to based on the user's set browser language, but I am not sure which languages Hanover selected for this.

We are launching the HEDS survey next month and in preparation with ELL faculty, there were shared concerns of the survey being challenging for individuals who are early levels of English proficiency.
