You are correct, depending on which process you use, you will select different queries, and those queries are designed to look and one of those two columns, not both. 🙂

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Hi Connie,

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">As we were implementing this and going over it with our team earlier, a good question came up that I wanted to ask for clarification on. When we run the new process to update the packaging
variables using numbers and not characters, we realized that although the Var Num values were being populated, the old Var Char values were not being removed. Is this something that we’ll need to worry about, or is it not an issue? I’m assuming that the query
being used to assign the FLF is going to be looking at the Var Num values and ignoring the Var Char, but I wanted to make sure that we don’t need to worry about updating both columns when we adjust aid for less than fulltime enrollment.

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Hello FA Community!

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">We have developed a new Enrollment Intensity FLF Process, instructions are attached. The new queries should be in Production on Friday 7/12/2024.

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">The new process is very similar to the current FLF Process, however you will now be using the Var
Num 1-2 fields instead of the Var Char 1-4 fields on the Packaging Variables page.

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">The new queries are:

<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Calibri", sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">QCS_FA_ENROLL_INT_FLF_ADD
packaging variable for future quarters to T/H/L/N, you can use this query to find those student to update the Enrollment Intensity on the Var Num field.
