This is a friendly reminder about the Solution Design Survey<https://forms.office.com/r/6eQSJpwM4T> due by the end of business on Wednesday, October 4th. In the attached Solution Design Document*, you will find the details for the solution approach we are proposing for SAP Maintenance Item #6B – Transfer Units in MAXT Course Exclusions.

Please read it thoroughly and provide your feedback via the survey linked below. In this survey we also ask that colleges indicate whether they will test during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase, and if so, who their testers will be.

We are ready to share our proposed solution for the next SAP item from the FAST Maintenance List!

Attached is the Solution Design Document (SDD) for SAP #6B – Transfer Units in MAXT Course Exclusions. Please read through it thoroughly and provide your feedback via the survey linked below. In this survey we also ask that that colleges indicate whether or not they will be testing during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase, and if so, who their testers will be.

Overview of SAP #6B – Transfer Units in MAXT Course Exclusions

  *   Issue: If a student returns to a college and has previous enrollment records that were not captured in the conversion to ctcLink, the legacy data manually entered as Transfer Units is not included in MAXT calculations. Remedial units entered manually are not being excluded from the MAXT evaluation (up to the Max Remedial Units to Exclude value set by colleges) under Course Exclusions in their SAP configurations.
  *   Proposed Solution: Create a custom view to identify legacy units and corresponding course information added manually in ctcLink. Clone the delivered PeopleSoft Financial Aid SAP Application Engine for the Maximum Attempted Units Test. Modify the copied code to compare the custom view against additional delivered enrollment tables to pull the data points necessary to compare these legacy transfer units to the Course Exclusions configuration. Update the SAP AE Process Setup configuration page for each institution to point to the custom code.

High Level Project Timeline

  *   9/12 – Colleges review Solution Design Document (SDD) for SAP #6B Transfer Units in MAXT Course Exclusions
  *   10/4 – Colleges to submit completed Solution Design Confirmation survey back to FA Support by end of business day

     *   We require approval from a minimum of 90% of ctcLink colleges in order to proceed with the solution development

  *   10/24 – User Acceptance Testing (UAT) walk-through and kick-off session (Save the date coming soon!)
  *   10/24 – User Acceptance Testing (UAT) begins
  *   11/13 – Colleges testers submit completed sign off UAT Survey due to SBCTC by end of business day
  *   11/28 – Target implementation in Production
