[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] Queries to assist with reporting FWS to COD is now in production!

Good morning FA!

I hope you are staying warm in this cold weather! 😊


Starting with the 2024-2025 FAFSA, colleges are required to report calendar year Federal Work Study (FWS) earnings by student to COD. The deadline to report 2022 calendar earnings is December of 2023. Oracle is providing the FWS table in FA PRP 1 for colleges to self-populate with required data and generate a CSV to send to COD. There have been several bugs reported. Fixes to address these bugs will be provided by Oracle in Image 31. Oracle is scheduled to release Image 31 in January.



Considering the FWS table with the fixes will not be in production until after the deadline, and for most ctcLink colleges half of the 2022 FWS data is located in FAM, queries were created to assist colleges in manually reporting the data in COD for the 2022 calendar year.


Attached is a resource guide that explains the four queries in detail. Calendar year reporting is very different from aid year reporting, but we hope these queries along with the payroll reconciliation records from your Work Study Program will help your college report to COD for the 2022 Calendar Year.


We will be reviewing what Oracle provides and try to make the FWS reporting to COD less manual for the 2023 Calendar Year. 🤞
