Good afternoon, FA,

We have a couple updates to share about Saturday's activities:

  1.  The server maintenance originally scheduled between 5am to 6am has been cancelled. There will no longer be an outage of the Portal, HCM, and Finance pillars on Saturday, August 12.
  2.  The Campus Solutions outage on Saturday has been extended:
     *   Original: Saturday, August 12, 2023, 5:00 am - 1:00 pm
     *   Update: Saturday, August 12, 2023, 5:00 am - 5:00 pm

All other information previously provided about shutdown activities remains unchanged.

With the scheduled ctcLink outage to upgrade PeopleSoft to PUM Image 29 this weekend (see email below), Financial Aid users who manage scheduled JobSets and recurring Jobs and Processes will need to stop all of them this Friday, August 11, no later than 3:00pm. Please put this on your to do list for tomorrow!

Good afternoon,

We are getting ready for our Campus Solutions Image 29 and HCX 23.2 upgrade, on August 12. SBCTC will be performing maintenance on ctcLink to deploy server updates, deploy CS Image 29 and apply an update for HighPoint HCX (Mobile) on Saturday, August 12, 2023 5:00 am - 1:00pm. After the first hour of maintenance the Portal, HCM, and Finance pillars will remain online for the remainder of the maintenance period. Campus Solutions will remain offline until upgrade activities are completed. As part of this upgrade, Campus Solutions users will need to have all recurring jobs and processes canceled in advance of the system take down. Therefore, this is our reminder that production will be down Saturday August 12, where Campus Solutions will be taken down and users will not have access to the system until Saturday evening.

Here is a breakdown of how this will impact and items that need to be done in Student Financials, Financial Aid, and Campus Solutions Core on Friday thru Saturday for the full Campus Solutions system take down.

In addition, we will need to have folks go through the steps to cancel scheduled job sets and any recurring processes. See the Process Take-Down Instructions QRG<http://ctclinkreferencecenter.ctclink.us/m/81602/l/1468473-process-take-down-instructions>, to assist with the steps involved. If you have a significant number of processes scheduled, you may want to run this query before you start canceling:  QCS_PT_PROCESS_IN_STATUS_MAX.  This will give you a reference for the-Monday-after as you begin to reschedule. .

Financial Aid:

  *   Cancel all recurring or prescheduled processes and jobs that you have scheduled by Friday, August 11th, no later than 3:00pm.
  *   Financial Aid users will receive an email on the FA listserv with specific instructions

Campus Solutions Core:

  *   By noon Friday, August 11, cancel any recurring or prescheduled processes and jobs that are set to run between 5:00 pm Friday, August 11 through 12:00 am Sunday, August 13
  *   OAAP and HCX (Mobile) will all be offline during the upgrade on Saturday, August 12
  *   Integration between CampusCE and ctcLink will be unavailable during the upgrade on Saturday, August 12
  *   Canvas will not be impacted by this upgrade, but users will need to access Canvas directly rather than through ctcLink

Student Financials:

  *   On Friday, August 11, cancel any recurring or scheduled processes/jobs set to run between 5:00 pm Friday, August 11 through 12:00 am Sunday, August 13.
  *   No changes to your Cashiering operating procedures are necessary for this image update.
  *   On Monday (8/14) please review your scheduled jobs to ensure they are once again active.

Portal, Finance, and HCM pillars:

  *    After the first hour of maintenance on Saturday, August 12 the Portal, HCM, and Finance pillars will remain online for the remainder of the maintenance period.
