[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] FA Question from Image 29 Q&A Session

Good Afternoon FA-

In February, the attached email was sent out describing bugs that were introduced with Image 27. Two bugs were expected to be resolved with Image 29. We confirmed one as resolved with Image 29. In the Image 29 Q&A session yesterday afternoon it was asked if the bug below was resolved:

"In some cases, Calc EFC button unexpectedly changes the dependency status of a Dependent student to Independent status when it should just re-calculate from Simple Formula to Regular."

In our compare of Image 29 environments to those that do not contain Image 29, we were not able to replicate the issue described, in any environment. This includes records that were used for testing when the bug was first announced. We have confirmed with technical that PRPs installed earlier this year did not contain a fix for this bug. Since the issue could not be replicated in an environment without Image 29, we did not identify this bug as being resolved in the Image 29 Overview Documentation.

After Image 29 is applied, should you see this behavior occur when selecting the Calc EFC button, please submit a ticket to FA Support.
