[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] FA/SF/FIN Cross-Pillar Training: End to End Process

This calendar invite is for a Cross Pillar Training (FA/SF/FIN) on a Reconciliation End-to-End Process held on Monday April 24th, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.  The delivery of this Cross-Pillar Session is intended to be an end-to-end knowledge sharing session on cross-pillar reconciliation.

Objectives:

  *   (FA/SF/FIN) - Understand the high-level flow of the cross-pillar (FA/SF/FIN) end-to-end reconciliation process
  *   (FA) - Understand the available FA reconciliation queries that should be run on weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis
  *   (FA) - Understand the high-level process in FA in regard to what queries and reports to run for varying funding sources
  *   (FA) - Understand the timing in which SAS files are available to use for FA/COD reconciliation
  *   (SF) - Understand how the GL is sent to FIN via SF/SFC journals
  *   (SF) - Understand how Second Journal Sets are created and processed
  *   (FIN) - Understand the differences between “Fund 145 Grant” vs. “Non-Grant” setup
  *   (FIN) Grant vs. Non-Grant Budget Setup which creates the ChartString
Fund 145 Grant Project = SJS Item Type Project Coding
  *   (FIN) - Understand the high-level process in FIN in regards to how data processes into GL
  *   (FIN) - Deciphering data using Queries
  *   (FIN) - Understand the difference between recording a G5 Drawdown Reimbursement using a Billing Invoice/AR Payment vs. manual GL Journal Entry
Audience:  Staff responsible for reconciling financial aid in FA/SF and FIN from awarding, to posting, to G5 or WSAC funds drawdown/return.
This session will be recorded.  The presentation slide deck will be attached to this calendar invite prior to the session delivery.
