buttons in the editor, meaning a screen-reader user can input math that way. Both editors output accessible math (assuming, and this is a big assumption in some cases, that the user has installed math player on their machine.) I will refer you to
<a href="http://accessibility.psu.edu/software/canvas/canvasmath/">Penn State again</a>; getting slammed with a lawsuit really has made them one of the best accessibility resources out there!<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<a href="https://eastsideprep.instructure.com/courses/1054508/pages/javascript-injecting-mathjax">
javascript injection</a> to get mathjax up and running in your Canvas instance. Mathjax / math ML is really at the root of all this math accessibility stuff, so it makes sense to use that as much as possible and not rely on proprietary plugins or programs
like Wiris, especially when there’s a free and accessible option out there.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

that says the equation editor writes math using LaTeX, which is accessible. But, it looks like they use Mathjax to ensure accessibility... so... maybe the Canvas equation editor gets it's halfway there. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
