Registration closes TODAY at Noon! Each session will be recorded but you MUST register to gain access to the recording.

Join us for a transformative three-part training series aimed at enhancing student learning in Basic Education for Adults, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Kayce Aspen.

We are offering a three-part accessibility training with Dr. Kayce Aspen, a licensed psychologist, and a Re-Entry Psychologist with the Education Services Division at Headquarters with the Department of Corrections.

Scheduled Events

*         Wednesday - April 17th from 10:30-11:15 AM
Enhancing Student Learning

Review the parts of the learning process and explore ways to enhance learning at each step, while recognizing the unique needs of students in the classroom.

*         Wednesday - April 24th from 10:30-11:15 AM
Don't Forget! Improving Student's Memory and Recall

Review the different parts of the memory process and strategies students can use to improve. Will explore how these strategies align with some of the Universal Design Guidelines to increase accessibility to the learning environment.

*         Wednesday - May 1st from 10:30-11:15 AM
Generating a Hypothesis:  Your Role in the Assessment Process
When a student is struggling in the classroom what does that mean exactly? In this session, we will talk about the referral question for psychological assessment, things that psychologists need to look at prior to making a diagnosis of a learning disability or ADHD, and how faculty can assist with the assessment process.


Join us for a dynamic three-part training series designed to elevate student learning experiences in Basic Education for Adults.
Don't miss this opportunity to deepen your understanding of student learning, memory enhancement, and assessment processes. Register now and embark on a journey toward more effective and inclusive teaching practices.   *   The link above will navigate to our online registration form. First, provide your information; after you submit your information, you will receive an automatic email with your registration details.
  *   A final confirmation email will be sent to all registered participants with additional event information 1-2 weeks before the event.

  *   To receive Proof of Attendance (POA), participants MUST check the box when registering.

o   Virtual training: POAs are sent via the trainer's attendance sheet.
