<p class="MsoNormal">The question was posed – “Gen2 laptops have 480gig ssd drives, Can we keep some hard drives from gen 2 laptops to be used as replacement parts for gen3 laptops for quick repairs”.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Jeremy’s response is - YES hard drives between gen2/3 laptops are compatible and Jeremy will accept gen2 laptops without hard drives. Also, the screens are compatible between gen2/3 laptops, so keep some screens and hard drives from gen2
devices if desired and send the rest of the laptop back to Jeremy for disposal. <o:p>

<p class="MsoNormal">You WILL need to run a bios tool on gen3 laptops to approve any alternate hard drive. Contact Jeremy for the software and instructions.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>NOTE </b>– The screens and hard drives are not affected by the security issue. The security issue was in the BIOS/Motherboard. Screens and hard drives are not specialized parts. The BIOS/Motherboard still need to be send to Jeremy for
destruction.<o:p></o:p></p>
