as disabled,” or that 12% is half of the expected total number of SWDs? According to DataWarehouse Table 24B, in 2016-2017 there were 12,981 students
<i>coded</i> in our system, meaning they use the services of DSS. This is not the same number as those who disclose a disability. For example, on my campus, these coded students are roughly two-thirds of the total number of students who disclose or “self-identify”
as having a disability (the other third of whom don’t use our services). Sorry to make this more confusing – I just want to be sure we’re not comparing apples to oranges. I guess it was mainly slide 5 that threw me. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
