I like that idea Andy, and will ask our co-chairs to put this on November's agenda for discussion and planning.

Monica,

Yes, this would be a good topic to discuss at our next meeting. Should we think about a 1-pager to send out to the colleges that informs folks of the changes from 2.1 to 2.2?

Hi CATO,

WCAG 2.2 is now a published web standard. Do we want to discuss this at our next meeting in November? I am curious to see how this development will ploy out and impact the Department of Justice's proposed rulemaking and amendment to Title II of the ADA as well as the web accessibility act that Senator Duckworth recently reintroduced.

The 2017-2018 Section 508 refresh led by the U.S. The Access Board adopted and references WCAG 2.0 standards, and as we know, Washington state's Policy 188 references WCAG 2.1 as its required standard. Now, with version 2.2 officially published by W3C, this could present some interesting compliance and implementation challenges.

How shall we approach this conversation together?

Cc: CATO co-chairs Zach and Bryan

Thanks,
Monica
